In a controversial, but probably not planned move, Chris Brown and Rihanna partied at the same club last night. Yes people, can you believe it?

This only fuelled the speculation that Rihanna and Chris were getting back together, however there were a few points in the evening that suggest otherwise. Although we’re not entirely sure what happened inside the club, The Daily Mail reported that, once Rihanna and Chris left the club, revelers started tweeting about them. However, many said that they did not actually see the pair interact.

Maybe, just maybe, this had something to do with the fact that Chris was there with his GIRLFRIEND Karrueche. Just to hammer home this fact, Chris’s rep told ABC News: “He and Rihanna are just friends. He is with his girlfriend Karrueche, and is not cheating.”

Also, according to the Daily Mail, they were both seen leaving separately, with Chris leaving the club through the front door while Rihanna snuck through a side door and hopped into a waiting SUV with her bodyguard. We don’t think that anything major happened, although we weren’t there so obviously we can’t know for sure. But one thing that puzzles us is, out of all the clubs Chris and Rihanna could have chosen to go to in Hollywood, they both picked the same one. Strange, huh?

The singer is set to play a US Navy weapons officer in the film Battleship, based on the popular board game of the same name. The movie is directed by Peter Berg, the man behind the 2008 film Hancock starring Will Smith and Charlize Theron.

He says Rihanna has a big future on the big screen. "I've worked with musicians before and I always expected there was a great actress in Rihanna," he said. "That's just from watching her intensity and how hot she is in her music videos."Peter Berg, 49, spent four months with the star filming near Hawaii.

"For anyone that's been on a music video set, it's not so easy to do sexy," he said. "If it was, there would be a lot more Rihannas."The 23-year-old singer recently released Talk That Talk, her sixth studio album, and is reported to have sold more than 60 million albums worldwide.

"Rihanna lived in this small really unglamorous hotel room for four months," he said. "It was really hot, there was nothing but really bad fried food."Despite being a global pop icon, Peter Berg says there were no diva-style demands from the star.

"She had no entourage, she shared the same little trailer as everyone else did."Battleship also stars Liam Neeson and Taylor Kitsch. Peter Berg hasn't ruled out a sequel providing it does well at the box office. As for Rihanna's career in Hollywood, the director said: "Battleship is a small role but she does a great job in it.

"If she wants to be a huge movie star then in a year you'll be sitting here with her talking about whatever her next film is."Rihanna has previously appeared in 2006 film Bring It On: All or Nothing, which went straight to DVD.

Coldplay are set to perform a duet with Rihanna at the Grammys Awards on February 12. Rihanna told the digital world via her Twitter page: “My friends @ColdPlay and I will be sharing the stage for a performance at this years Annual Grammy Awards! #BONKERS [sic].”

Rihanna and Coldplay will perform their duet “Princess of China,” from the band’s recent Mylo Xyloto album. According to MusicNews.com, Coldplay’s Chris Martin has previously described the duet with Rihanna as the highlight of the album: “Well, her bit on our record is my favorite bit. When the song came out, it sort of asked for her to be on it.”

Rihanna's been taking a break in Hawaii this week and has posted no shortage of photos of herself in skimpy bikinis on her Twitter page to keep her fans happy! The Bajan singer came under fire last week for some recent photographs that showed her smoking what many suspected to be a certain illegal substance, something the "Umbrella" singer didn't deny, but rather alluded to via messages on Twitter.

Last Thursday, she tweeted, "4:20... Hi" (4:20 being a slang term for smoking pot that began in California in the 1970s), and then she dropped another hint on Sunday with the message, "Kush rolled, glass full... I prefer the better things!" (Kush is an Afghan strain of cannabis). And on Wednesday, Rihanna posted pics of herself in a silver twist one-piece with the message "Wake...Bake...#CAKE," yet another reference to smoking the Maui Wowie.

One might wonder how Ri-Ri can get away with getting stoned on the beach in Hawaii, and that's because in 2008 the Aloha State made possession of the substance a "low priority" for law enforcement officials. Adults there are allowed to possess up to 24 plants on private property for personal usage, and the state's Big Island no longer accepts government funds for marijuana eradication.

Rihanna's recent batch of sexy photos included messages like "Strike a POSE," "We #SWAGGIN, We Surfing!!" and a random shout-out to socialite Khloe Kardashian ("Haaaa!!! Come tap this @KhloeKardashian") which she later edited to just say, "#SNAP."The singer recently confirmed that she'll be performing "Princess of China," her hit collaboration with Coldplay, at this year's Grammy Awards. The track is from the band's latest album, "Mylo Xyloto."

Rihanna and Coldplay will be sharing the stage at next month's Grammys. The We Found Love singer, who had already been tipped to perform with the chart-topping band at next month's Brits, tweeted the news to her fans. She wrote: "My friends Coldplay and I will be sharing the stage for this year's annual Grammy Awards - bonkers."

Rihanna added that the performance was "great news" and that she was in a "great mood". The stars will perform their collaboration Princess Of China. LL Cool J is to host the show, featuring performances from the Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Jason Aldean. Kanye West is the frontrunner at this year's event with seven nominations, while Adele is up for six Grammys, including album, song and record of the year. Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars also have six Grammy nominations each, including album of the year.

Rihanna was rumoured to be going away with best mate Katy Perry, following her break-up from Russell Brand, but Katy recently flew out to Singapore. Missing her mate doesn't seem to be ruining Rihanna's hols though - yesterday she tweeted about swimming with sharks too, which sounds... well, terrifying actually, but she seemed to love it, saying 'Swimming with Sharks is one of my favorite things I've ever done'.

On the other hand, this could be a metaphor for her hanging round with some bad people or something, but we're going to go with the literal since she is in Hawaii. Rihanna has also been tweeting (suitably) about reaching a whopping 12 million followers on Twitter, saying: “I love u so much! Can’t believe we’re here already… #12Milli thank u."

She also tweeted (she likes a tweet) a picture of her chef (her CHEF - yeah, this is a nice holiday) saying 'How hot is my chef?' - he did look quite cute, but also strangely like Kevin Federline, which stopped us enjoying the picture as much as we would have otherwise.

Dressed in a red tank top and black leggings, the 23-year-old Rihanna was without her signature red lipstick but still looked refreshed as she basked in the sun.

On Sunday (Jan. 15), the ‘We Found Love’ performer Rihanna took to Twitter and shared a breathtaking view of the Hawaiian sunrise. “Waken…Baken…Good morning,” she wrote to her more than 12 million followers. Stoners everywhere likely applauded Rihanna for her words, as the standard marijuana smoker tagline for early morning smoke sessions is “Wake and Bake.”Later that night, it seems the curly haired Def Jam signee Rihanna engaged in another smoke session when she tweeted lyrics from Nicki Minaj’s verse on Drake’s track ‘Up All Night.’ “Kush rolled, glass full…I prefer the better things!” Rihanna wrote.

Rihanna and Cheryl Cole are set to record a single together, according to reports. The Daily Star Sunday claims that the Girls Aloud singer and 'Talk That Talk' star will meet in LA this week to work in the studio together on a collaborative track. "Cheryl's flown to LA to put the finishing touches to her album and is due to meet Rihanna to record their duet," said a source.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Cheryl Cole could release the first single from her third studio album in March. The singer, who had previously insisted she was eager for the as-yet-untitled LP to have a "more urban vibe" and was said to be chasing collaborations with hip hop stars Eminem and Nicki Minaj, has reportedly almost finished work on the record. Rihanna, meanwhile, released her sixth studio album 'Talk That Talk' in November last year.
