Rihanna wants to be friendsWe thought the Chris Brown and Rihanna saga was over now that a judge had made a ruling. Brown is supposed to stay away from Rihanna, keeping at least 9 meters away at public events.

It turns out that Rihanna is not happy with the ruling because she still wants to be friends with her ex-boyfriend. A source reportedly said that the pair thought the ruling was "unnecessary and ridiculous."

The pair have already broken the rules because they have stayed in touch telephonically. The source also said that they don't plan on getting back together but they do want to remain close friends.

Well, it might take more than a bunch of flowers, but, according to reports, Chris Brown and Rihanna are working on improving their relationship.

According to the New York Daily News, the pair are trying to remove a court order which enforces Brown to stay at least 50 yards from Rihanna as they'll never be able to patch things up while that's in place. A source said both parties think it's "unnecessary and ridiculous."

However, it didn't look like Rihanna was too bogged down with legal drama during a trip out in New York yesterday - the singer looked edgy but summery in a white shirt, loafers and hotpants.

The sexy Grammy Award-winning Bajan singer, who recently suffered through a swarm of media publicity surrounding domestic violence at the hands of ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, won the Viewer's Choice award for her collaboration with T.I. on `Live Your Life.`

The duo failed to win in the Video of the Year and Best Collaboration categories, in which they were also nominated. Both singers were absent from the awards ceremony.

Brown’s assault charge stemmed from an altercation before the Grammy Awards in February that left Rihanna battered and bruised.
 
“They think it’s unnecessary and ridiculous,” said a mutual friend of the former couple about the no-contact clause. “After, Ri and Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They’re solid now.”

Rihanna and Brown want protection order removedFormer lovers Rihanna and Chris Brown reportedly are looking to have a court-ordered protection order banning the pair from contacting one another lifted because they want to work on their friendship.
A Los Angeles Supreme Court judge sentenced Brown to community service and probation on Monday after he pleaded guilty to assaulting the Rihanna following an altercation in February that left Rihanna battered and bruised.
Brown was also told he must stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna and keep a distance of 10 yards from her if they attend the same event.
But the stars are reportedly eager to have the ban removed because they consider it "unnecessary" and have already broken the order by patching things up over the phone.
A source close to the pair tells the New York Daily News, "They think it's unnecessary and ridiculous.
"After (the court proceeding) Ri and Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They're solid now."
However, the insider insists the stars are not interested in reviving their romance: "That's 100 percent done. They aren't looking to hook back up again. They're both moving on and going their separate ways."
The former couple reunited briefly following their pre-Grammy fight, but split soon afterwards. Rihanna has since been romantically linked to rising rapper Drake.

His Best I Ever Had is the week's greatest airplay gainer on the Billboard chart, and Every Girl, his collaboration with rapper Lil Wayne, is the biggest digital gainer.

The songs have jumped up to numbers three and 10 respectively on the new countdown.
But the Black Eyed Peas continue their Hot 100 dominance, scoring an 11th week on top with Boom Boom Pow. The group's I Gotta Feeling remains at two for a second week.

Knock You Down, Keri Hilson's collaboration with Kanye West and Ne-Yo, drops to four and rapper Pitbull's I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) falls a spot to five.

The new chart's highest new entry belongs to New Boyz's You're a Jerk, which debuts at 32.

REP DENIES BROWN LEAKED NEW 'RIHANNA' SONGA representative for disgraced singer CHRIS BROWN has dismissed reports the star leaked a new song about his ex RIHANNA just days after he pleaded guilty to assaulting the UMBRELLA hitmaker.
Internet gossips were sent into a spin when a new set of tunes recorded by Brown appeared online - with one of the tracks, Not My Fault, apparently hinting at the row on the eve of the Grammy Awards in February (09) which left the Bajan beauty battered and bruised.
In the song, Brown is heard singing, "Shorty is caught up, from a long night. She's ready to fall, but see, it's all right ... That's not my fault, right?"
However, a spokesperson for Brown's label, Jive Records, has slammed reports the songs were recorded around the time of the attack or following the court case on 22 June (09) - insisting they are old demos.
In a statement, the rep explains, "Countering misleading reports of 'new' Chris Brown music: there are no 'new' songs from Chris Brown currently being promoted by Chris or his record label.
"There are several old demos circulating that are being falsely promoted as new material from Chris."
The Kiss Kiss singer was ordered to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna, serve six months of hard labour in his home state of Virginia and complete five years supervised probation for felony assault.

"Just good friends," the 22-year-old, whose full name is Aubrey Drake Graham, said with a smile Sunday on the red carpet at the MuchMusic Video Awards.

Speculation of a romance started after the pair reportedly kissed at a New York City bowling alley.

They were also rumoured to be canoodling at an after-party for the premiere of the film "Year One."

Drake, who is best known for playing Jimmy Brooks on the CTV teen series "Degrassi: The Next Generation," has said he is writing songs for Rihanna.

But neither has said they are an item.Drake is heading out on tour this summer with Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy and Young Jeezy.

Before that, he says he plans to take a mini-vacation before hitting the road.

"I'm going to the Bahamas in a couple of weeks before the tour," he said. "I'm going with my managers and we're just going to relax for, like, four or five days."

The 21-year-old hitmaker`s new single called `Te Amo` narrates the dilemma of a girl who loves her best friend though she is not a lesbian, reported Ace Showbiz.

The track has been doing the rounds of websites and might be a part of Rihanna`s new album.

"Te amo, te amo She says to me, I hear the pain in her voice. Then we danced underneath the candelabra she takes the lead. That is when I saw it in her eyes," goes the lyrics of the song.
