Cool story, bros! Rihanna's mother has stepped in to stop her from partying too hard.  The 24-year-old Where Have You Been? singer is apparently experiencing an intervention from her parent soon after being hospitalised for exhaustion.

The singer - whose real name is Robyn Fenty - now has her Monica Fenty following her almost everywhere she goes in an attempt to make sure her child is well looked after. A source told The Sun: "Monica's moving in to keep an eye on her. "Rihanna's dad, Ronald, was a crack addict. Monica's refusing to let her go down that path."

Rihanna was rushed to hospital suffering with "exhaustion and dehydration" recently. She tweeted a picture of herself attached to a drip in a hospital after reportedly spending the night partying at the Met Gala in New York, MediaTakeOut.com reported. However, after a brief stay in the undisclosed medical centre, she was discharged and allowed to fly back to her home in Los Angeles.

One reason why she may be suffering with exhaustion is her extensive workout regime, with her trainer Harley Pasternake claiming she will even hit the gym in the middle of the night if necessary.  He said: "Rihanna looks amazing right now. I've put her on a special 25-minute-a-day workout that consists of five mini-workouts. She does it five days a week, wherever she is in the world."

Spotted leaving her NYC hotel, Rihanna was seen heading off to rehearsals at the Javits Center.  The “Birthday Cake” songstress looked chic in a denim on denim ensemble of cropped jeans paired with a v-neck white tee while walking the sidewalks of the Big Apple.

Although RiRi was solo in the city this afternoon, the sexy singer spent yesterday (May 13) celebrating Mother’s Day with her momma just like everyone else! The Barbadian beauty took to her social media page to share Twitpics with her 18 million-plus followers of the exciting day her and her mom had, which included a dinner with a special cake for the lovely lady.

Aside from the photos she uploaded, the 24-year-old singer also showed her appreciation to her biggest supporter tweeting, “#Mama....u my ride or die bi*** for life!!! And yes I know a bi*** slap is on the way for my language! But u get it!!!!! I love you.”

She put on her most energetic and theatrical-costumed performance to date in the music video for her new single Where Have You Been? when it was released at the end of last month, and now Rihanna has revealed just how she achieved her animalistic look for the film shot to accompany her latest track.

The 24-year-old star posted snaps of herself getting geared up for her several different appearances on her Facebook page yesterday, with many of the shots featuring the star baring plenty of flesh. Never one to shy away from baring ample flesh, Rihanna can be seen topless as she gets crocodile scales painted on her chest and spine by make-up artists.
 
The professionals did a good job of covering up her nipple piercing which she has flaunted while out on the event circuit on occasion. When she did not have the illusion of an animal exterior protecting her modesty, she concealed most of her chest using her hands and arms.

As well as photographs of her donning a leopard print robe and zebra skin ensemble, she also shared an image of her rehearsing for dance routine in the studio. She recently said: 'Because my schedule has always been so busy, it never allowed for us to spend time rehearsing and making up dance moves. I was never going to shoot this video if I couldn't do choreography. Because it would be pretty pointless. This time next week "Battleship" will blast into theaters, but a few lucky people saw the film at the L.A. premiere last night! Rihanna brought her whole family along for the voyage as she hit the blue carpet in a revealing dress that made us question why she ever held boob envy for Brooklyn Decker. But we digress with a blush.

When MTV News caught up with the singer-turned-actress she told us her debut role intimidated her. "I was walking into this as an amateur—a complete amateur. I didn't know anything and I had a good team to learn from. I watched them, and especially Taylor [Kitsch], 'cause we did a lot of scenes together and he would always offer me advice."

"There was nothing for them to be intimidated about," she continued. "I was the wreck. I was a wreck, just like, scared to sh--, especially when Liam Neeson showed up to set."

It's her first acting gig. It also happens to be one of the most highly-anticipated films of the summer. Plus, she was starring alongside Neeson who was a Jedi Master in the "Star Wars" prequels, voiced a powerful lion (who happened to represent God) in "Narnia" and kicked a whole lot of bad guy ass to save his daughter in "Taken." Obviously being intimated is extremely irrational. It's unclear if "Battleship" will sink or swim against the current box-office champion "Avengers," but we'll find out soon enough!

The 'We Found Love' singer raised concerns after posting a picture of herself with an IV drip on Twitter earlier this week. However, Rihanna is now reportedly feeling "fine" and recovering from a recent bout of flu which sparked some concern amongst fans this week after the singer posted a picture of an arm connected to an IV drip on her Twitter page.

There has been no official statement that the singer was hospitalised, although a source close to the singer confirmed to People magazine that she had been taken ill: "She had a fever and flu since last week and needed an IV, but is fine now," they told the publication.

The 'Talk That Talk' star had posted several messages on her Twitter account before the photo was revealed admitting she was feeling under the weather. However, shortly after the picture was posted, Rihanna also uploaded a shot at an airport as she headed from New York to Los Angeles, where she seemed healthy and fit.
 
Meanwhile, Rihanna has recently unveiled the official music video to her latest single 'Where Have You Been' which she will be performing on the final of American Idol later this month, on the same night that Jason Derulo makes his live return following his neck injury.

The singer made no secret of their connection during a late-April trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, during which she also promoted her film, Battleship. The question is whether it's a real relationship or just a typical fling. In any case, it sounds like the two hit it off quite nicely there.

“Rihanna rushed into the ocean, but Darren had to be coaxed,” an onlooker reveals. “She kept calling his name, and at one point, she discreetly flashed him. That did the trick.""He ran into the water, and they started kissing.”

While they’ve only been "dating" a few weeks, the couple was spotted holding hands in the lobby of their hotel, The Kahala Hotel & Resort. Later, they were dancing at a club and cuddling in a lounge chair. But a source also added that there could be other motivations ... like getting inside Chris Brown's head: “She’s using Darren to make him jealous.”On May 2, she made a point of wearing a Raiders shirt to a strip club, then she tweeted numerous pictures in the hopes that Chris would see. Rihanna stepped out for the annual Met Costume Institute Gala on Monday in a leather alligator print dress. While attending the event, she revealed that her fans will soon be able to dress like her, since she is designing her own clothing line.

“I’m doing my own collection,” she told reporters on the red carpet. “I’m working on it — it will reflect my personal style.”Rihanna didn’t reveal when she plans on releasing her own line, but she is putting a lot of hard work into it.

The “Where Have You Been” singer recently told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that she wants people to “trust” her designs.

“I’m really pursuing a fashion line of my own. I want to design. This is also a road that I want to earn it. So I’m working with designers that I respect, and companies that I respect. I want people to really trust me before I just say, ‘Buy it, because it’s mine,’” she said, according to The New York Post.

The 24-year-old has had a chance to reflect her style through fashion before. She previously collaborated with Emporio Armani for two small collections. She helped design a denim jumpsuit and biker jacket for the brand. She even helped design the dress she wore to the Grammy Awards this year.

Joining in on quite the big evening in the Big Apple, Rihanna turned up for the 'Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations' 2012 Costume Institute Gala in New York City. The Barbadian beauty sashayed through the Metropolitan Museum of Art venue while clad in a skintight, black Armani dress.

The annual fete finds actress Carey Mulligan acting as honorary co-chair alongside designer Miuccia Prada and US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, while Azealia Banks is lined up to perform. As for the celebratory occasion, this year's rendition of the Met gala ushers in the 'Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations' exhibition exploring "the striking affinities between Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada, two Italian designers from different eras."

The display is described as being "inspired by Miguel Covarrubias's "Impossible Interviews" for Vanity Fair in the 1930s while featuring "orchestrated conversations between these iconic women to suggest new readings of their most innovative work."
